A commercial investment firm is seeking an experience Senior Accountant who wants to work in a very friendly, low stress environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance preferred.
CPA Preferred
5+ years’ experience-public accounting preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP accounting and tax accounting.
Real Estate Experience Preferred
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Essential Job Functions:
Reconcile intercompany payable and receipts and ensure prompt reimbursement and billings.
Prepare special reports for owners and Senior Management.
Prepare year-end audit and tax schedules.
Prepare and review annual budgets.
Record Payroll semi-monthly; prepare 401K information
Prepare and analyze financial statements for corporate and real estate entities, including monthly financial close and account balance reconciliations.
Oversee staff accountant as it relates to accounts payable and accounts receivable and provide guidance as to proper general ledger coding and entity.
Approve check processing batches and accounts payable invoices.
Review general ledger detail for coding discrepancies and comparison to budget.
Prepare and post journal entities into the financial system..
Set up new entities and apply for tax and business licenses.
Prepare weekly cash forecast report and determine appropriate transfer of funds.
Reconcile all bank accounts monthly.
Prepare investor contribution and distributions schedule; communicate and respond to investor inquires and prepare documents to reflect investor changes.
Work closely with outside property management companies to ensure timely and accurate flow of financial information.
Reconcile Fixed Asset schedules and Job Cost Report to Budgets and prepare capital expenditure schedules as required.
Oversee tax compliance for local, state and federal required tax payments.
Oversee all banking relationships, responsible for all bank documents and for opening and closing new bank accounts.
