Senior Accountant

Job Description:

  • Perform the accounting, budgeting and monitoring of governmental contracts
  • Interpret financial information and consult with management on results found
  • Perform financial analysis
  • Post and reconcile accounts payable and receivables
  • Assist with audits
  • Support closing processes
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations
  • Produce various financial reports
  • Oversee general ledger and prepare journals

Requirements:

  • Non-Profit industry experience preferred
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
