A well-respected firm in the Private Equity field is working with Robert Half Finance to find a Senior Accountant with previous accounting experience. This role handles financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. The role requires superb analytical skills, and the work environment is challenging and fast-paced. This Senior Accountant role is located in Playa Vista, California. The person in this role will be well compensated and offered a benefits package and the opportunity for advancement.

What you get to do every day

– Engage in various department-wide initiatives

– Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

– Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

– Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

– Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external

– Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations

– Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests

– Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

– Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Job Requirements:
– Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

– ERP system experience

– Fund accounting experience desired

– 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

– Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

– BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

– Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions

– Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

– Must have excellent time management skills

– SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

– Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

– Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

– Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

– Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
