Senior Accountant

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Administrative: Member of executive management team Attend weekly management meetings with appropriate financial metrics Meet with owners Create budgets Meet with outside accountants to ensure proper planning is done with regard to: Taxation Compliance Reporting Meet with managers to facilitate profitable work Financial: Administration of daily cash position Reconciliation of bank statements,by others Preparation of financial information and statements, monthly Preparation and payment of administration employees payroll (weekly) Preparation, submission and payment of weekly 941 payments and 401k payments (weekly) Preparation and submission of quarterly state and federal reports and returns Preparation and submission of all annual reports and returns Preparation and submission of W2 information Preparation and submission of 1099 returns,by others Compilation of monthly work in progressassisted by others Review all accounts payable for payment, to match large payments with receipts from receivables Process employee changes for administration payroll Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field Prior experience helpful but not mandatory Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook Other accounting software programs Skills/knowledge: Must be able to demonstrate excellent initiative, communication(verbal/written) judgement and interpersonal skills Works cooperatively with others and values the different contributions people make Ability to handle pressure in a positive professional manner Strong organizational skills/goal orientation/self-motivation Benefits: Salary dependent on experience, range $ 60,000.00 to $ 90,000.00 Paid medical/dental/eye (employee to pay %) 401K Plan with matching Paid holidays ( currently 8 days per year) Two (2) weeks paid vacation per year, increasing to 4 weeks after 5 years of employment Five (5) personal paid days per year
