Summary The Pre-Sales Engineer (PSE) supports sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions.

The PSE collaborates with sales, customer success, engineering, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.

The PSE is responsible for achieving a profit and productivity quota made up of the combined expectations of the sales resources, market, and/or channel supported.

Reporting to the Director of Pre Sales, the PSE reports on a dotted line to the Account Executive or Managing Director, Resilinc UK Ltd.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works deals assigned to the sales team, prioritizing effort to ensure deal closure, or as directed by the sales manager.

Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and Resilinc.

Coordinates closely with account executive and other resources within the company to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.

Works with Account Executive to lead and coordinate RFI/RFP/RFQ processes Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm.

Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.

Maintain an expert level of knowledge in Resilinc’s products and services.

Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure.

Demonstrate the features of Resilinc’s products to prospective customers.

Own and refine the pre-sales process to continually improve sales scripts, discover process and expertise.

Train co-workers and share knowledge.

Pursues additional business development opportunities within customer firms.

Collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered Reports to Director of Pre-Sales Reports to the dotted line to the Account Executive or MD of Resilinc UK Ltd Works closely and collaboratively with the sales and account teams supported.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree, ideally with a Business or Marketing concentration Minimum of 5 years of business experience ideally in customer-facing capacity Prior experience with SaaS applications, or analytics software a plus Solid understanding of supply chain management Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and analytic abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented, precise, and concise Experience working in a small company, fast-paced, constantly changing, high-growth environment.
