Senior ML Infrastructure Engineer:
Located in the heart of San Francisco, we are software company building a high-performance framework managing and operating machine learning models in production, making it easy for data scientists to apply trained ML models to real-world applications at scale. We are a well-funded early-stage startup looking for outstanding founding engineers. As a member of the founding team, you will directly impact the company’s success. We are looking for team players that take extreme ownership of their products, and driven by delivering value to the customer.
You will work collaboratively with the team on our open-source project and help manage the open-source community. You will talk about your work and build thought leadership in the open-source community. You will design, build, and own high impact open source products with global adoption. You will help support users, get to know their needs, and reflect those needs in the product design.
As a Senior ML Infrastructure Engineer, you will design and build the core functionality in our open source framework, including its integration with a variety of ML frameworks and MLOps platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Familiar with the design and internals of common ML frameworks, such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, XGBoost, etc.
- Experience with open-source and commercial products in the Data/MLOps and cloud infrastructure space.
Bonus points:
- Experience with software security and systems that handles sensitive data
- Experience with building open-source projects and working with open-source community
- Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, Beam, Airflow, and similar commercial products from cloud providers
- Experience with cloud technologies, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP
