The Rolen n As the Plant Cost Accountant, you will lead plant-level accounting at our quickly growing manufacturing facility.
The position requires an accounting professional capable of managing multiple priorities in a rapidly expanding and fluid organization.
You must be analytical, organized and willing to challenge yourself to drive the overall development of the business in tasks outside accounting.
The successful candidate will adapt quickly to change and champion the advancement of policies, structure, procedures, and data practices.n n Job Descriptionn Responsible for overseeing plant-level financial reporting, provide feedback to corporate to improve processes and decision-making Perform budget to actual data analyses on key financial and manufacturing metrics Evaluate and implement structure and processes to drive financial and operational efficiencies Work closely with corporate accounting team on month end close reporting Maintain integrity of data within our manufacturing system Run analyses off actual data in order to measure and improve KPIs and financial performance Assist with job costing and overhead allocations to determine unit cost Manage inventory cycle counts and related reconciliations Assist the accounts payable function for our manufacturing operations Required Skills: n Minimum five years’ work experience in an accounting role Formal education (diploma or degree) in accounting Experience in manufacturing, particularly in the food industry, preferred Well versed in generally accepted accounting principles Very adept with MS Excel, experience with QuickBooks preferred Able to work in a fast paced, high-growth and rapidly changing environment Able to prioritize multiple tasks with an ownership mentality
