PEOPLEASE, LLC: Tax Accountant

Position Summary PEOPLEASE is a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) with payroll operations in every U.S.

state.

This position will manage all activities related to payroll tax, to include the reconciliation, filing, and disbursement of Federal, State and Local obligations.

The role is also responsible for maintaining compliance with all tax authorities by keeping current on regulatory law changes.

Essential Duties Manage the remittance of recurring daily payroll tax obligationsLead quarterly tax reconciliation and close processes to meet statutory Federal, State and Local deadlinesMaintain system interfaces to ensure proper data flow and accurate integration into the general ledgerSupport tax administration and client services through the management of tax notices and audit requestsResearch regulatory law changes and ensure complianceParticipate in a wide variety of ad-hoc reports, special projects, process improvements and analysis as necessaryCommunicate with clients and internal personnel in a courteous and professional mannerConform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredPosition requires 3+ Years of experience working with Federal, State, and Local tax lawsMaster’s Degree, CPA and/or Public Accounting experience preferredStrong technical proficiency working in complex systemsCommunication proficiencyPersonal effectiveness, credibility, ethical conductTime management and attention to detail Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
