The Finance Team includes Finance Business Partnership, Accounting, Finance Operations, Financial Systems, Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury, and Investor Relations teams.

Together, the team partners with leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions, inform investors about our business model and progress, and ensure the company is financially healthy and consistently meeting our reporting obligations.

We’re looking for a Manager, M&A Finance and Integration, to join Snap Inc.

at our Los Angeles, CA headquarters.

In this role, you will work closely with the Technical Accounting & External Reporting team and various cross-functional business partners in support of our strategic acquisitions and investments.

Responsibilities include analysis of financial data, identification of key trends behind the performance of a business, preparation of diligence reports with summaries of key findings and recommendations, and development of integration plans for finance and accounting processes. 

What you’ll do:

  • Participate in due diligence to validate acquisition objectives, contribute to the operating model design, and identify the preliminary integration milestones, risks, and challenges.

  • Analyze financial and operational results of target companies using financial information and through interviews with management.

  • Prepare and evaluate pro forma financial information.

  • Evaluate effects of seasonality and cyclicality on financial statements, including cash flow requirements.

  • Write and/or review detailed reports regarding due diligence and financial analysis.

  • Identify diligence issues which may affect purchase price, deal structure, deal models, and purchase accounting.

  • Manage third-party service providers supporting various diligence matters, including accounting, finance, payroll, equity, valuation, etc.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Corporate Development, Communications, Finance & Accounting, Legal, People, Engineering, etc.

  • Plan and execute on acquisition integration, including the adoption of internal controls and accounting policies, system implementation and migration, transition to standardized accounting processes, etc.

  • Identify improvements in acquisition integration processes/techniques and implement best practice methodologies.

  • Identify and track risks, actions, issues, decisions, dependencies, and synergies to ensure successful integration.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with an understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, especially pertaining to business combinations

  • Knowledge of and experience in working through Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

  • Outstanding analytical and Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.

  • Ability to work under pressure and perform tasks concurrently in a deadline driven environment

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills, and superior attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization

  • A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency

  • Exceptional organizational skills

  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work extended hours during critical periods

  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance or equivalent years of experience

  • 6+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in an M&A focused role

Preferred qualifications:

  • CPA License

  • Big 4 firm experience or Fortune 500 company experience
