Title : Loan Officer

Reports to : Senior Loan Officer/ General Manager
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the expeditious processing of all requests for loans, letters of credit, syndicated loans and other extensions of credit received by the Branch in accordance with established loan polices and procedures.
EDUCATION
Minimum education level : Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting & Financing is preferable
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English : Written : Advanced / Verbal : Fluent
Korean writing and verbal skill is preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
UNDERWRITING
Perform credit analysis for all new/existing loans (including renewal and extension)
Keep abreat of industry changes, local economic, financial and legislative events which may have an impact on Branch’s lending activities.
Spread financial statements or tax returns to generate relevant financial ratios
Analyze cash flow, liquidity, profitability, leverage and other financial ratios and be able to come to various conclusions, including evaluation of collateral and other relevant credit information
Responsible for underwriting, organizing, maintaining information and collection for loan portfolio
Prepare credit memos & fully supported loan presentations for loan origination and renewals/extensions, and make recommendations to the Loan Committee for approval/decline
Establish and maintain a program for the prompt and expeditious collection of problem loans and delinquent loans and report to the Loan Committee
Member of the Loan Committee and Prepare loan committee minutes
RISK MANAGEMENT & PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
Review all credit files to assure that they contain all required information
Perform ongoing loan monitoring in accordance with loan covenant including, but not limited to, financial statement analysis
Monitor delinquent and problem loans.
Determine reason(s) for delinquency.
Works together with the borrower to correct situation.
Advise Senior Loan Officer of progress in accomplishing collection.
Documents all contact in file memoranda
Prepare quarterly loan review materials for a third party loan reviewer
Prepare quarterly loan loss reserve analysis in accordance with US GAAP
Prepare monthly ALRM committee report and present to the ALRM committee for branch credit risk
COMPLIANCE
Comply with regulatory requirements including but not limited to : Reg B, HMDA, Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA Patriot Act, CRA, Privacy, and Security
OTHER
Review, revise, update, create, distribute, and submit for approval loan policies and procedures
Required an excellent written and oral communications skills
