Lead Financial Analyst

Eaton’s Industrial division is currently seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to join our team.

This position is based at our Southfield, MI facility.

Position Overview: The Lead Analyst will support the Vehicle Group North America Commercial Vehicle Division Controller in preparing timely and effective analysis and financial reporting for VGNA Finance Team.

This position will concentrate on: Analysis of plant operations Coordinating the results of the plants on a monthly basis, along with all Division ledgers.

Driving the forecast process for manufacturing operations.

In this role, you will: Prepare VGNA Supply Chain commentary and variance analysis following each month-end and rolling forecast.

Key contributor to the VGNA’s annual Profit Plan process and annual Standard Cost Roll.

Manage dynamic commodity forecasting and planning process.

Ability to work with key stakeholders to provide various ad hoc simulations amongst fluctuating market conditions.

Create Tariff, Surcharge, and Cost Out forecasts for manufacturing sites and Plant Controllers.

Work collaboratively to support plants with ad hoc analysis as needed.

Support the decision-making process at all levels by providing sound and reliable financial analysis, with specific focus on supply chain metrics and cost out goals.

Work collaboratively with both Finance and SCM functions to reconcile P&L and SCM metrics and ensure alignment.

Participate in BPI and continuous improvement teams as necessary.

Identify financial/operational improvements.

Establish and maintain an environment of cooperation, standardization, and sharing across the region.

Serves a key role supporting internal control / SOX requirements for VGNA.

Reconciles Division Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis.

Ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting procedures.

Meets all monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting deadlines.

Effectively communicates results to ensure timely and effective decision making.

Required (Basic) Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business and/or Finance from accredited institution Minimum three (3) years of accounting and/or finance experience Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of accounting and/or finance experience Graduate degree desirable, as well as CPA or CMA accreditation Position Success Criteria: Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts.

Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel & Powerpoint).

Proficient with Oracle and ENCORE reporting systems.

Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret financial analyses/reports.

Broad general product and business knowledge in order to adequately interpret operating results.

Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment General knowledge of all functional areas supported: Supply Chain, Materials, and Operations.

Strict attention to detail.

Deadline-oriented and ability to multi-task.

The annual salary range for this role is $84,720
– $116,490 a year.
