Japanese Bilingual Senior Accountant
Reports to: Assistant Manager, Accounting 
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Onsite – Downtown Los Angeles: Currently Hybrid – 3 times a week in person temporarily)
FLSA: Full-time, Exempt
Working Hours: 9am-6pm

OVERVIEW:
A global IT company with advanced technology is looking for a Senior Accountant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
•             Reconcile and review journal entries, transactions and financial activities to ensure records with accuracy, completeness and compliance with company’s accounting policies and procedures.
•             Perform Accounts Receivable processes including entering invoices and issuing check and ACH wire payments. 
•             Manage cash transactions, including reconciling payments to vendors, updating cash transaction sheets, reconciling to bank balances, and researching issues and variances.
•             Monitor Accounts Payable transactions performed by offshore teams, identify and correct errors.
•             Assist in corporate audits including communicating with external auditors and providing PBC deliverables and documentation upon requests.
•             Work closely with the finance team at the Japan HQs to respond to requests for information regarding reporting, transactions, and related accounting matters when needed.
•             Provide suggestions on improvements and modifications of accounting systems and procedures to achieve better efficiencies and business practices.
•             Other duties requested by Management. 


QUALIFICATIONS:
•             5+ years of experience in relevant accounting experience required.
•             Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.
•             Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook) and hands-on experience with accounting software (example: Dynamics 365, Great Plains, Sage 100, NetSuite, SAP)
•             Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP principles. 
•             Bilingual Japanese and English (reading, writing, speaking)
