nn nn n nn nn Responsibilities
– Research & Analysis, Process nn nn n nn nn Research: nn Work closely with the senior investment team on fundamental research
– micro and macro Perform on-the-ground research, data gathering and analysis on key investment topics Write summary overviews, case studies, analyses, and deep dives in support of investment activity Analyze emerging trends in the space and their impact on the current portfolio, identify investment opportunities Actively engage in industry discourse and develop insights on key trends Perform valuation analysis via traditional corporate finance methodologies and financial modeling Develop non-traditional valuation methodologies and analysis based on primary source data Prepare presentations and associated analysis to a high professional standard Assist in drafting internal investment memoranda nn n nn nn Process: nn Work on transaction execution and portfolio support with the senior investment team Perform deal diligence
– help the team evaluate new investment opportunities through market research, product reviews, competitive analysis, customer reviews, and technical diligence Gather information from target companies and industry experts Research and engage with technical / business consultants to evaluate the target company’s technology Network with industry peers in other venture / growth capital firms Participate in ecosystem building
– active contribution to the blockchain / cryptocurrency community Document and support deal process: summarize call notes, enter deals / pipeline into CRM, manage research systems Collaborate with the team to support the existing portfolio companies Effectively support execution: project management / deal management capabilities nn nn nn Requirements: nn A strong understanding of the crypto and digital asset industry and its key players and structure Knowledge and understanding of macroeconomics and financial markets
– history of money, liquidity, fiscal and monetary policies, currency, and their impact on the DAE Ability to aggregate and integrate information from a variety of sources including technical primary source data, published research, anecdotal feedback from teams, then draw informed conclusions from incomplete information Experience with cash flow modeling and investment valuation techniques Ability to produce well designed professional-looking presentations and memos Strong written and verbal communication skills required Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of work experience in corporate finance, macro analysis, asset management, investment banking, or DAE / Blockchain technology nn n nn nn Nice To Have But Not a Must: nn MBA / graduate degree from a top school preferred Additional 2-4 years of relevant work experience in venture / growth capital A degree in a technical area (i.e.

This is similar to what you would be eventually doing in the Associate role.
This could be a prior original analysis/work in an investment recommendation format or a new analysis A new analysis should focus on cryptocurrency or companies in the Digital Asset Ecosystem, and reflect a sound, well-substantiated hypothesis and logic with an investment recommendation.
