For more information, visit: About the role AIG Global Real Estate is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Southwest Origination team for real estate equity acquisitions and development investments. The selected individual will have the opportunity to join an organization where they will gain exposure to a wide variety of real estate projects. The position will be based in Los Angeles. The Senior Analyst will be assigned to various areas of both acquisitions and development, working on a variety of projects and transactions across several asset types, including industrial, multifamily, retail, and office. Senior Analyst will be responsible for evaluating potential equity investments through market research, pro forma modeling, and market comparables analysis, in addition to assisting the Team with all transactional and due diligence processes. The role will use various modeling and analytical techniques to determine the value of potential investments, and prepare investment memorandums to present internally to senior management. The responsibilities and role will include the following: Monitor and analyze key economic and demographic trends in identified target markets. Perform detailed market research and analysis in identified target markets, monitoring key trends in economic drivers and real estate capital markets. Perform real estate pro-forma modeling and analysis in both Argus and Excel to determine viability of potential acquisition and development equity investments. Assist Investment Team in preparing detailed investment memorandums for presentation to an investment committee of senior management. Assist Investment Team in all aspects of the transactional and due diligence process of potential investments, including managing documentation, site visits, Sponsor interface, and coordination of third-party diligence and legal, through the closing of the transaction. What We Are Looking For: 1 years’ work experience in real estate finance, private equity, or investment banking. Basic understanding of all aspects of real estate property investment, development and financing processes, including but not limited to market analysis, financial analysis including property valuation, capital markets, project budgeting and scheduling. Strong financial analysis and excel modeling skills. Ability to work independently. Highly developed interpersonal skills and abilities; demonstrating confidence in building and effectively maintaining positive relationships with clients, partners, developers and co-workers. Strong problem-solving skills. Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and Argus or equivalent. Working knowledge of Argus is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
