Interim Chief Financial Officer

ETONIEN is sourcing for a well-qualified Interim CFO with food manufacturing and distribution experience to support our Private Equity backed client based in the Los Angeles, CA area. The ideal professional will be operationally focused and have 15 proven leadership experience with CPA or MBA. The Interim Chief Financial Officer will be actively involved in the development and implementation of strategies which enable the business to expand their brand and financial performance. Job Description In collaboration with CEO and Private Equity, accountable for providing direction and leadership to finance and business operations and serve as a developer of solutions to business challenges. Lead and oversee all accounting and financial operations including financial reports, cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost accounting, lease accounting, fixed assets, forecasting, payroll, tax compliance and financial analysis Oversee General Ledger functions including YTD reviews; assure accuracy timeliness, and conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices Assess and evaluate organization’s fiscal functions and performance Responsible for establishing and maintaining internal controls and procedures, as well as development, management, oversight, compliance, and reporting of key financial metrics Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems Create and/or manage financial models to help support analyses, business scenarios and other financial matters for building out and improving internal back-office operations including systems implementation Partner with the Executive Team in development of the budget and cost management in alignment with the company’s strategic plan Evaluate market trends and analysis to provide revenue, expansion and improvement opportunities Ensure consistency within supply chain, warehouse, and transportation functions Management of all cash management and treasury issues Develop visuals, tools, and report systems to provide critical financial and operational information including MD&A reports and accurate forecasts for income/variances to parent company. Collaborate and contribute to Senior Leadership Team to improve overall company performance; provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities Other ad hoc business and financial initiatives as assigned Qualifications Requirements Must have previous CPG/food distribution/manufacturing industry experience with private equity involved Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred 10 years of related experience—both accounting and finance oriented Independent, detail oriented and organized in work Advanced Excel skills Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus?? Strong business acumen with decision-making skills to lead and shape the company’s strategy
