The full-time Controller position is situated in the Los Angeles, California area.nn nn nn nnYour responsibilitiesnn nn nn nn
– Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basisnn nn nn nn
– Reviews deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectationsnn nn nn nn
– Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysisnn nn nn nn
– Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reportsnn nn nn nn
– Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologiesnn nn nn nn
– Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operationnn nn nn nn
– Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collectionnn nn nn nn
– Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervalsnn n n Job Requirements: n
– Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
– Be detailed, flexible, and organized
– Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
– Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
– Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
– Proficiency in Alternative Investments
– REIT’s experience
– Experience with Annual External Audit
– Adeptness in financial auditing
– Fund accounting experience
– Financial reporting experience
– Vow to meet business deadlines
– Past work in technology, analytics and management experience highly valued
– Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
– BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
– Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills
– 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
