Financial Planning Coordinator
The responsibility of the Financial Planning Coordinator is to focus on life, disability, and long-term care insurance applications and underwriting for a growing and highly productive group of financial advisors under the supervision of the Director of Development. Additionally, the Financial Planning Coordinator assists new advisors with their practices by managing and overseeing the flow of business, assisting clients in the application and underwriting process, and playing an instrumental role in creating future planning analysis presentations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
New Business and Underwriting Processing:
Preparing and processing all insurance applications
Managing the medical examination process, scheduling exams, and sending lab slips and results to underwriting
Acting as a liaison in collaboration with Financial Advisors between a client and an underwriter to request or deliver correspondence, documents, and information with a high level of professionalism, timeliness, and confidentiality
Prioritizing work according to client and underwriter needs within set turnaround times, keeping underwriter apprised of potential client issues and Financial Advisors aware of underwriter’s needs
Developing and maintaining a working relationship with colleagues and company staff, and checking in weekly with advisors to provide case status updates
Working closely with Financial Advisors to determine and handle their policy servicing needs for clients
Producing quotes from illustration software and preparing personalized planning analysis documents
Entering and maintaining client and policy data in computer system and electronic file system; tracking and following up on tasks forwarded to other staff or clients to ensure timely completion
Regularly reviewing and managing online reporting systems, ensuring that all data is accurately reflected and making corrections to records whenever necessary
Office Operations:
Running office activity reports in preparation for weekly meetings
Overseeing office persistency by resolving monthly policy lapses and sending weekly billing account termination notices to help prevent lapses from occurring
Assist with incoming and outgoing mail
Assist with daily client check processing
Serve coverage for month-end reports on postage, validations, printing, and parking
Serve coverage for month end expense reports on credits cards
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance

Approximately 40 hours per week Monday- Friday
