Financial Analyst Intern

The Financial Business System Analyst internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of analytics.

The primary focus is to assist the technology and finance leadership teams by leveraging systems expertise to develop and maintain customized reports, dashboards, business analytic tools to efficiently and effectively manage the business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Data retrieving via primary source research
Conduct quality control to assure the integrity of project data
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to support business decisions
Build financial models to better track various product flow streams
Assist the Business Analyst team
Proactively conducting interviews with all stakeholders to elicit detailed functional requirements
Create and maintain tools designed to analyze Cost of Funds results
Assist in delivering technology solutions for the stakeholders
Assess and make improvement recommendations to business processes, application features, data change to resolve defects or enhance business capabilities
Contribute to application development, quality assurance efforts, team-best practice and process improvements
The document, manage and communicate requirements throughout the project lifecycle
Provide process flows and wireframes
Develop and execute test cases
Competencies:
Technical and Analytical skills
Ability to strategize at the high level and implement analytical reports/tools
Requirements:
Junior or senior in college or Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics or economics preferred
Expert skills in Microsoft Excel, VBA is a plus
Assuring the integrity of project data, including data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and analysis
Analytical and project management skills, including an understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into operational requirements
Knowledge and understanding of Business and Process Analysis best practices, techniques and tools, and project management methodologies
Strong communication skills, written and oral
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task
Ability to think critically
Ability to negotiate
Ability to work with offshore team
