Financial Analyst

We are seeking a financial analyst for a top client in the San Pedro area. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting and analysis to the operations group. He/she will collaborate with operational team to identify and communicate actional insights obtained from financial and operational data to promote analytically driven business decision-making. This will be in office role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop financial models, financial budgets, forecasts that support business objectives and drive decision making ensuring quality, accuracy, and focused analytical review.
  • Analyze trends in revenue, cost, direct margin, operating expenses, capital expenditures and other related operational KPIs.
  • Provide financial and analytical support for the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Work closely with Corporate team to align budgeting and accounting processes and best practices. Support Accounting during the monthly close cycle by validating financials.
  • Manages preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial analysis scheduled of actual vs. budget variances.
  • Provides insightful revenue and expense reporting and analyses on a recuring and ad-hoc basis and enables senior management to make informed decisions.
  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of financial records.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis independently.
  • Performs other job duties as required.

Specific Job knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
  • 2-3 years related work experience in financial planning and analysis preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
