Financial Advisor – Wealth Management

The Relationship Manager I Financial Advisor is successful if the revenue they manage is growing through a successful relationship development (sales and service) effort.

The off icer is expected to succeed th rough personal sales efforts to achieve specific goals.

Revenue growth and client satisfaction will be the pr imary results goals.

Business development activities (prospects generated, prospect meetings, pi pel ine development) will be the primary i nitial performance goals.As a Relationship Manager of BBCN Investment Services, the goals will be to develop and deepen clientrelationships by delivering comprehensive and personalized investment advice to help clients achieve their financial goals.

A successf ul Relationship Manager will be able to advise clients with complex investment relationships on most suitable asset allocation and portfolio construction as well as market and implement investment solutions in accordance with the clients’ financial needs.

This person will be accountable for the Brokerage revenue growth (sales results and retention) through the achievement of specific goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Responsible for new business development in all wealth management related areas.

This will initially be focused on generating referrals from bank partners and generating opportunities through seminars, marketing and other prospecting methods.

Plan seminars, as needed and appropriate, for the public on investments and related subjects.
Contacts potential or current customers to obtain opportunities to set appointments to conduct discovery meetings.
Creates or updates a profile for each client by reviewing his/her current financial situation, as well as short and long-term financial goals.
Interacts with new clients to facilitate the opening and funding of accounts.
Prepares required reports of activity, progress and results for management.
Represents the Bank by becoming active in the community.

Actively participates in service organizations, community activities, etc.

to promote a positive bank image and to generate leads for the new business efforts.
Develops and maintains relationships with bank personnel to expand understanding of brokerage services and to stimulate referrals.
Delivers quality service to brokerage clients through a proactive contact process based on defined standards of service.
Builds and maintains databases of prospect and client information.
Helps manage client investment portfolios in line with approved investment guidelines.
Keeps up-to-date on legal, legislative, federal, and state laws and regulations through reading of periodicals, publications, and participation in educational seminars.
Participate in departmental meetings and duties.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
At least 4 years of customer-facing investment, insurance and financial profiling experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Series 7 and 66 required .

Life and Variable Annuity License required
Ability to create and foster strong partnerships with the branch employees and business partners
Track record that demonstrates exceptional ability to grow revenue, assets and client base
High achiever with entrepreneurial spirit
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Fluency in Korean strongly preferred (Virtually required for success as most of the referral sources and prospects/clients will be Korean)
