CohnReznick’s Advisory Group currently has an exciting career opportunity in the CFO Advisory practice. We are looking for a Senior Consultant for our Finance Transformation team.

CohnReznick’s CFO Advisory group offers our public and private clients an extensive array of accounting/technical advisory and finance transformation services to recognize the rapidly changing business environment. Our client focus is mid-market and you will be exposed to a variety of industries including tech, consumer, manufacturing & distribution, real estate, cannabis, hospitality, private equity and renewable energy to name a few.  

As a CFO Advisory Consultant, you will be joining a professional collaborative team with unique technical backgrounds from public accounting, private industry, consulting and finance. Your responsibilities will primarily be to contribute to client success through participation in the day-to-day activities across the lifecycle of projects.

As a Finance Transformation Consultant, you’ll actively participate in engagements covering the following expertise areas: 

  • Finance Function Assessment & Roadmap
  • Design and implement road map for post close integration (M&A)
  • Finance Operating Model Assessments, Design, and Implementation
  • Finance & Accounting Process Improvement, Automation and Enablement
  • Financial Systems Alignment and Enablement

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a broad range of finance transformation projects including the design and implementation of finance transformation solutions from assessment through implementation.
  • Work with project teams, management, and client senior management to develop and execute strategies to solve complex business challenges and deliver efficient solutions.
  • Contribute to the delivery of Finance Transformation engagements, which involves review of the current state of a companies’ finance and accounting processes and advising on solutions around increasing efficiency and effectiveness across organization people, process, and technology.
  • Provide excellent client service on a consistent basis.
  • Build strong internal relationships.

Required Qualifications

 

  • BS/BA required, MBA a plus
  • 2 years of practical work experience with a consulting firm or experience in a professional services environment such as accounting firms, investment banking or private equity firms, financial consulting, business advisory services, and/or banking industry preferred.
  • Experience with finance strategy, finance operation, financial modeling, post-merger integration, or business consolidation.
  • Experience participating in, or leading, transformation projects to help clients optimize all elements of their accounting and finance organization.
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance business operations, work streams, and best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitation, business process analysis, process mapping, system implementations, and change management.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Travel and client site work may be required for this role.
