Grant Accountant

Long standing non-profit organization located near downtown Los Angeles is seeking a Grant Accountant.  The Grant Accountant will manage various grants and contracts from a number of funding sources – federal, state, and county funders.  The Grant Accountant general ledgers, perform account reconciliation, conduct monthly and annual close for grant accounts, prepare journal entries, and ensure proper grant billing and general ledger coding.  The Grant Accountant will also analyze grant budgets, monitor cash flow associated with organizational grants, and ensure federal and state funding compliance.

 

  • Qualified candidates will need to have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting.
  • At least two years of grant accounting and/or non-profit grant/funding experience.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment is essential.
  • Multi-tasking skills are critical.
  • Strong background with MS Word and Excel.
