Finance Manager
– Financial Insights & Technology Live What you will do Lets do this Lets change the world In this vital finance role, you will be part of the Financial Insights & Technology (FIT) team within Amgen’s Corporate Finance department and will report directly to the FIT Reporting & Analytics Senior Manager.

This position will serve as the “product owner” of the recently launched FIT Finance App mobile Tableau dashboards.

This position will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and launching mobile-friendly finance reporting capabilities for key Amgen leaders as part of Amgens strategically important Sensing initiative.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, 1) developing Finance App dashboards by engaging with cross-functional partners and FP&A collaborators, 2) partnering closely with Sensing initiative leadership to align on evolving Finance App goals, strategy, and priorities, 3) collaborating with the sensitive Amgen ED&O and Sr.

Operating Team organizations on dashboard design, implementation, and training, 4) being a key presenter and influencer in training/ socialization sessions with high profile Amgen groups/ teams, to successfully articulate the value proposition of FIT reporting and encourage adoption of them to replace time-consuming manual approaches, and, 5) lead and manage Finance App dashboard validation efforts to make sure the data our leaders look at is accurate and that the user experience remains the best that Tableau is currently capable of.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Developing Anaplan Tableau dashboards by engaging with cross-functional partners and FP&A collaborators Partnering closely with the Anaplan GOPH product team to align on evolving Anaplan goals, strategy, and priorities Collaborating with regional and functional FP&A and business partner liaisons on dashboard design, implementation, and training Acting as a key presenter and influencer in training/ socialization sessions with important Amgen groups/ teams, to successfully articulate the value proposition of FIT reporting and encourage its adoption to replace time-consuming manual approaches Leading and managing the Anaplan Tableau dashboard validation efforts to make sure the data that Anaplan customers look at is accurate and that the user experience remains the best that Tableau is currently capable of, and, supporting other ad-hoc/ special projects as required.

This position will continue to drive the FIT teams standardization agenda where possible: encouraging that planning and actuals entries to be done correctly, consistently and timely in agreed-upon systems of record, that financial calculations be done consistently across the organization as much as possible, and to generally push finance and business partner groups towards standardized, centralized and automated reporting where time-consuming, manual reporting approaches can be replaced.

Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree, OR Masters degree and 2 years of Finance experience, OR Bachelors degree and 4 years of Finance experience, OR Associate degree and 10 years of Finance experience, OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Finance experience Preferred Qualifications: Analytical & Technical Experience: Experience with dataset design and analysis Experience with Tableau dashboard development Experience with Hyperion Planning and Smartview reporting Experience training large groups remotely and in-person Experience with the basic financial statements Change management & relationship management: Demonstrated success at facilitating processes for complex issues and partnering cross-functionally Capable of working across matrixed teams in various geographic and functional reporting areas Ability to own and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders Compelling and persuasive communicator (verbal and written) with excellent interpersonal skills Comfort with training large groups both in-person and remotely Collaborative team player providing versatility and flexibility to a team Ability to handle reporting and data projects from upfront ideation/requirements-gathering, through development, implementation, and training of clients MBA/CPA preferred Amgen experience is a plus Thrive Some of the vast rewards of working here As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for our teammates professional and personal growth and well-being.
