Finance Manager

(strong(About The Role(br((br((/strong(We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team at Glorify as our first ever full time Finance Manager.

You’ll be engaging with employees at all levels across our international business, so as well as bringing an excellent track record in Finance, we are looking for approachability and for this person to enjoy having a core role within our team.

This is a hands-on role and you will be the go-to person for all Finance related questions, queries and issues.(br((br(Having recently closed and announced our Series B fundraising, Glorify is in the process of expanding and professionalisation.

Therefore, we are looking for this person to implement expert systems and processes which ensure our Finance department progresses alongside the business in the way that it functions.(br((br(You will be joining a talented, high-performing team and we will be looking to you to approach your role with initiative, new ideas and enthusiasm.

This is a fast paced role and you will need to enjoy working to deadlines as well as being able to respond to last minute requests and problem-solve under pressure.(br((br((strong(Key Responsibilities(br((/strong((ul((li(Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as invoicing, payables, cash flow, etc.(/li((li(Perform general accounting functions including, but not limited to bookkeeping, month-end closing, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, journal entries, etc(/li((li(Perform weekly and month-end bank reconciliations (Multi-currency accounts)(/li((li(Quarterly VAT return preparation and submission(/li((li(Manage monthly payroll process(/li((li(Review/approve/decline all expenditure in accordance with the expenses policy(/li((li(Prepare, research and analyse monthly financial reports(/li((li(Manage intercompany transactions(/li((li(Carry out weekly and monthly payments to staff and suppliers via the Bank or other platforms available(/li((li(Trade foreign currencies to GBP via online platforms(/li((li(Manage outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, HMRC, etc.(/li((li(Maintain technological updates within the finance function (br((br((/li((/ul((strong(Additional Responsibilities(br((/strong((ul((li(Be an integral part of the Glorify Team; build strong relationships across the whole organisation.(/li((li(Assist the Head of Operations in setting up US and BR operations (including establishing legal entities, setting up new company bank accounts, understanding any tax implications on Glorify, monthly report consolidation, etc)(/li((li(Support external agency with the renewal of our EMI valuation and R&D tax return application.(/li((li(Be proactive about ways to improve processes and save money at Glorify(/li((li(Identify weaknesses and threats about the Finance operation at Glorify going forward(/li((li(Ensure Glorify’s Finance department runs as a lean, scalable Operation.(/li((li(Highlight potential recruitment needs below, alongside or above the Finance Manager(/li((li(Work alongside the Operations team on preparing the company for future fundraising(br((br((/li((/ul((strong(Requirements(br((/strong((ul((li(Applicants will have a recognised accountancy qualifications (e.g.

ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Consideration will be given to AAT qualified accountants.(/li((li(At least 2-3 years of experience working with Xero, Quickbooks or similar platform(/li((li(Ability to work to deadlines as well as the agility to respond to requests and queries from the team quickly and with authority(/li((li(Significant experience as a Finance Manager in an international organisation of scale.

Ideally, you will be familiar working in a start-up environment which has grown significantly during your tenure.(/li((li(Experience in professionalising financial systems and processes within a business is highly desirable.(/li((li(Ambitious, dynamic and self-motivated as well as a general team player(/li((li(Relationship builder and comfortable working in a geographically dispersed organisation(/li((li(Experience managing relationships at all levels across a business including external relationships(/li((li(You will have a high attention to detail, be extremely organised and forward-looking(br((br((/li((/ul((strong(Benefits(br((/strong((ul((li(We are an ambitious, fast-growing business
