ZGF is seeking a Finance Manager who will head the finance function firmwide. We are looking to add more analytical rigor to the budget and develop a data-driven, transparent and inclusive forecast process, so this is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, self-directed individual who wants to build something new and impactful. Responsibilities Build analytical models that utilize both financial and non-financial data to forecast operating results. Manage annual budget, quarterly forecast and monthly financial review processes. Assist as requested with ad hoc projects for CFO, Controller and Business Office managers. Develop new process and models for project-based revenue forecasting, and to enhance current processes as needed. Maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates distributed for the Accounting Department, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review and increasing automation. Participate in digital transformation project transition to ERP system. Analyze variances, identify relevant drivers and trends, and apply analytics for developing forecasts. Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data. Construct comparative analyses using market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps. Qualifications 4-7 years of financial analysis experience. 3-5 years in an architectural, engineering, construction or project-based professional services organization highly preferred. Bachelor’s degree. MBA and/or CPA preferred. Extensive experience building, modifying, maintaining, and reviewing financial models in Microsoft Excel. Expertise with VBA required. Use of PowerPivot and financial ERP software is a plus. Highly accurate and organized with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Capable of problem solving through initiative, assumption of responsibility, and resourcefulness. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with management, team members, peers, and cross-functional teams. Ability to use broad financial analysis and business knowledge to identify financial issues and opportunities to optimize financial results and to drive/influence management decisions. Ability to work independently and in a team environment on projects with minimum daily guidance. Creative and innovative team player with a positive approach and a focus on business issues. Good work ethic – timely, reliable attendance, honest, dependable, conscientious, respectful, and accountable. Ability to travel occasionally to other ZGF offices as needed.
