JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this role is to ensure the optimum performance of the Development Team, funds/assets under management and to provide the highest standards of service to portfolio managers, developers and joint venture partners (“Clients”). This position is to ensure efficiency and superior capability within the Development Team, strategic analysis of development projects and developer relationships and responsible for enhancing relationships with portfolio managers and senior management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand all facets of the Development Team’s responsibilities

Help develop and grow the Development Team’s capabilities and services

Be the extension of the Head of the Development Team inside and outside of the company

Seeks delivery of superior performance, client service and stakeholder value

Create investment committee memos and portfolio presentations

Manage due diligence activities and coordinate closings/on-boarding

Perform in-depth analysis on strategy and tactics to achieve underwriting

Track progress of development projects and create dashboard of KPIs

Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (minimum) from a 4 year college or university, MBA preferred

Minimum of seven years’ experience in real estate finance, investments and portfolio management

Strong financial skills

Strong technical and problem-solving skills, analytical ability and operational focus

Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret reasonably complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, presentations and investment committee memos. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on topics to employees, senior management and Clients. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively to take desired action.
