Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

We are looking for a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis who, through personal vision, leadership, analysis and insights, will play a critical role in helping company leadership with decision-making. You are tasked with providing insight, reporting and recommendations to key stakeholders including the CEO, COO and President, as well as leadership in Sales, Customer Success, Customer Enablement, Marketing and Product. You will lead the FP&A department and help the company achieve its commercial and financial goals.

CreatorIQ operates in five offices around the world, including Los Angeles, New York, London, Chicago, and Kharkiv.

Your Responsibilities

Build FP&A at CIQ:
Shape the future of FP&A at CIQ

Help establish the systems, processes, tools and infrastructure for FP&A to support the company’s growth

Leadership :
Work with the CEO, COO, President, head of Sales and other executives to help drive strategic decision-making and to recommend and prioritize CreatorIQ’s investments

Manage a small FP&A team, but produce an outsized impact across the company via your influence and your insights

Financial Planning:
Help lead CIQ’s financial planning cadence – both short and long term (quarterly forecasts, 3-yr strategic plan, BOD reviews, etc) Project manage the process within finance and help the organization contribute to it

Via your team, maintain and enhance the financial model that links KPIs and business drivers to the P&L/BS/CF

Goal Achievement & Measurement:
Take revenue forecasting and financial modeling to the next level

Understand the KPIs that truly drive our topline and synthesize these into revenue/cost financial models that provide an accurate line of sight into the future at the right level of detail

Help set goals and objectives for those KPIs and build a reporting platform to track success

Provide insight via monthly and quarterly variance reporting

Analytics :
Help unlock value by leveraging data analytics

Scrub through trends and facts to come up with insights and “a-ha” moments that help either grow revenue or scale costs

Communicate :
Communicate the state of the business (the “what” and the “why”) to key audiences in the organization

This can range from a recurring weekly update on revenue performance to presenting your findings to an exec audience, to contributing to the delivery of a presentation to the BOD

Presentations are substantial, tailored to the audience, impactful and professional

Business partnering :
become a trusted business partner to key leaders in our organization

In this role you will be partnering with senior leaders to learn their business and help them be successful

You will also need to develop a strong relationship with, Sales Operations, Marketing, Business Intelligence and Accounting

Process Improvement :
Help CIQ build scalable processes that drive efficiencies and insights via new tools (e.g. help us implement a financial planning tool, like Adaptive), automation of existing platforms (e.g. Salesforce, ERP, etc.) and improved communications & process

Who you are and what you’ll need for this position:
8+ years of professional experience in corporate finance, management consulting, and/or investment banking). At least four years in Corporate Finance is required
Experience working in a professional, high-caliber corporate finance department plus the vision and leadership talent to help CIQ build our own FP&A organization to a high standard
Bachelor Degree in a quantitative or business field (finance, economics), MBA is a plus
Strong proficiency with Excel a must. This is a player-coach role
Ability to synthesize large sets of data from multiple, seemingly unrelated sources and enjoy the process
Prior experience working in the SaaS industry is a big plus
Prior experience working with a financial planning tool like Adaptive Planning or Host Analytics is a plus
Prior experience working in high-growth start-ups is a plus
Prior experience working with international operations is a plus
