Controller
– Melville, NY Full-time, Day shift, Monday to Friday Seeking an experienced Controller in a leadership role for an established Manufacturing company.
Qualifications: 10-15 years of experience in finance and accounting blend, especially with a background in cost accounting 7 years of experience in a supervisory role is required.
Month end close experience Familiarity with GAAP At least a Bachelor’s in Accounting is required CPA preferred Manufacturing is a plus Human Resources experience is a plus Benefits are available Job Requirements: What you would do: Responsible for controlling accounting operations, fiscal plans and policies the conduct of its relationships with lending institutions maintaining of fiscal records and preparing of financial reports for the division.
Supervises personnel in the Accounting Department.
A strong background in inventory accounting is expected.
Review accounting standards and internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP.
Candidate should have experience with preparing month-end closings, financial forecasts, budgetary controls, cost accounting, internal/external audits, internal/external reporting and Sarbanes Oxley Compliance.
