Compensation: $140 – $150K (DOE); yearly bonus; full medical, dental and vision benefits for you and your family, 401(K) with matching, as well as generous PTO, sick days, and paid holidays.

Schedule: This is an on-site position and does not have a formal work from home schedule. However, accommodations for a professional working relationship are possible, including WFH once established in the role.
The Opportunity:
Looking for an accomplished professional with a successful track record of being responsible for all month-end close activities through to financial statements for a small to mid-sized company. From managing staff to working with executives, operations, creative and more, the role is well rounded and will be actively involved in all financial decisions for the firm including FP&A, modeling and analysis of company performance metrics.

The Job:
• Direct the accounting and reporting operations of the organization.
• Oversee all firm accounting and finance activities as well as advise on all strategic matters relating to budgeting, planning, KPI’s, systems, and internal controls.
• Very high on the priority list is to develop policies to control and coordinate accounting, auditing, reporting, AP, AR, GL and all billing related activities.
• Develop and administer procedures and systems – implement these new systems to ensure efficiencies and streamline processes.
• Prepare financial statements, maintain all accounting records, and develop, analyze and interpret statistical and accounting information.
• Evaluate operating results for costs, revenues, and budgets.
• Manage cash flow and forecasting for all firm operations.
Primary Functions:
• Be a HANDS-ON accountant with, but not limited to, the following:
• Month-end close and financial statement preparation
• ERP system enhancements and improvements
• Internal management reporting
• AP/AR/Payroll/Billing
• Oversee tax preparation by outside firm
• Manage banking relationships and safeguard assets
• Cash management
• Fixed assets
• Assisting with budgeting/forecasting
• Acquisitions and integrations
Qualifications:
• Experience overseeing and performing month end close including preparation of financial statements
• Must have experience improving/updating accounting operations and efficiencies through process streamlining and leveraging technology
• Proven ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to adapt to various situations
• Demonstrated strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment
• Team-oriented, easy to work with, and good-humored.
Educational And Certification Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; preferably with concentration in accounting
• 5-10 or more years of total professional accounting experience including preparation of financial statements and oversight of significant company accounting processes.
• Public accounting experience and a CPA are a plus but may be substituted for prior experience performing in a similar role. MBA also a plus.
