Commercial Finance Manager

The Commercial Finance Manager role is key to driving profitable growth at Aspire Bakeries. You’ll analyze foodservice customer data, manage pricing strategies, and oversee financial reporting to optimize profitability and ensure alignment with company goals. This role also requires collaboration with Sales and Marketing to implement best practices and identify new revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for assigned accounts.
  • Oversee Foodservice Customer Level Pricing and Trade Spend management.
  • Manage Foodservice Customer Level Promotional Programs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Prepare comprehensive Week/Month/Quarter/Year End Finance Reports.
  • Assess the effectiveness of pricing strategies and adjust pricing structures to align with divisional and corporate strategies.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with Sales and Marketing teams to facilitate the successful implementation of optimization opportunities.
  • Evaluate new contract requests to ensure alignment with pricing strategies and account growth objectives.
  • Conduct analysis on the impact of price changes, including assessments of gross margin risk and profitability.
  • Co-manage sales budgets with individual sales personnel.
  • Continuously monitor competitors and assess Aspire Bakeries’ market position.
  • Manage exposure to distressed products, aligning with forecasted expectations.
  • Lead Customer Business Reviews, ensuring they are conducted in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports as required by business needs.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of food manufacturing and distribution costs.
  • Take initiative to lead special projects aimed at improving gross profit and enhancing competitive positioning, even if such initiatives fall within the purview of other functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a business field, preferably Finance required.
  • 5+ years of financial analysis experience required.
  • Previous pricing experience preferred
  • Foodservice background preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and personable
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence multiple stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Access and Excel

Salary Range: $89,500 – $120,000

The final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, shift, education, skill, and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed In this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
