We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer to provide high level operational and business planning guidance to the Shareability partners while overseeing and running the financial and reporting activity of the company.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and entrepreneurial who is capable and ready to help take our growing company to the next level.
This contract role requires a commitment of 30 hours per week, and it has the potential to become a full
– time position as the company grows.
This is currently a remote, work-from-home position.
However, you will have access to Shareability’s workspace in LA for team, BOD, client and partner meetings as needed.
Essential Responsibilities :
As a strategic business partner to senior executive leadership team, the Shareability CFO must have demonstrated expertise across the essential areas of responsibility below:
Strategy, Planning and Management
Prepare the annual budget, business reforecasts (2x/year), monthly revenue dashboard and P&L, and weekly/monthly cash forecasts.
Review as needed with Shareability’s partners and BOD.
Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget.
Identify, acquire and implement systems and software to provide critical financial and operational
information.
Make suggestions for automating processes and increasing working efficiency.
Implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by the partners.
Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models.
Participate in Partner calls (2x/week).
Attend monthly BOD calls and preview monthly updates with the BOD Finance Committee.
Attend the “All-hands” staff meeting weekly.
Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting
Assess and evaluate the financial performance of our organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.
Provide insights and recommendations impacting both the short-term and long-term growth plan.
Manage financial planning and analysis.
Supervise the creation of reports, software implementation and tools for budgeting and forecasting.
Provide financial guidance and stewardship over any acquisition or merger activities.
Oversee the development of staff plans and client fee proposals; attend client procurement
meetings as needed.
Work with the COO and financial controller in the development of processes and systems,
adherence to internal controls, and creation of tools to measure job profitability (e.g., time
keeping).
Oversee the financial controller with respect to managing corporate and production accounting,
employee payroll and benefits, talent and vendor payments, client billing/receivables, and operational expenses (e.g., rent, equipment, subscriptions, etc.).
Accounting, General Ledger, Administration and Operations
Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software.
Review and ensure the application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for lenders,
foundations, investors and the BOD.
Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all local, state and federal tax returns.
Help us build out our Human Resources function to manage employee needs while assuring
appropriate legal compliance.
Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating
inefficiencies.
Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet
accounts and overhead cost allocation.
Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems.
Hire, develop and manage finance, accounting and payroll staff as required.
Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage the preparation and support of all external audits.
Financial Relations, Contracts and Policies
Engage the BOD finance committee in the development of short-term and long-term plans, projections and budgets.
Represent company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, auditors and officials.
Provide input to, and oversight of, investor and employee contracts, equity agreements and CAP
tables, and finalize the company’s CARTA reporting.
Prepare financial documents as needed for investor due diligence, bank requests etc.
Remain current on audit best practices as well as state, federal and local laws regarding
company operations.
Review and provide guidance over client MSA’s, SOW’s, and talent/influencer agreements.
Cash Management
Oversee weekly cash management and AP Department, approve large payables, sign checks, authorize large wires and ACHs.
Supervise Accounts Receivable management and provide guidance relating to the collection process.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA Required, MBA preferred
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a CFO; related industry preferred
12+ years total accounting/finance experience
Outstanding knowledge and understanding of GAAP
Experience organizing HR, IT and payroll and benefits functions, including setting up and
managing compensation and benefits programs including 401ks.
Accounting systems
implementation experience preferred
Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related
issues
Clear communicator with and ability to effectively interact with senior leaders, team members,
clients and vendors
Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence – ability to motivate staff
Hands-on approach, able to prioritize and pivot between duties to keep things moving
