Job purpose This technical role on the Corporate Business Analytics FP&A team will help create complex data models, algorithms, and dashboards to be used companywide to support our data-informed strategy.
This role will leverage millions of data points across dozens of sources to deliver new insights to our business leaders.
This role will focus mostly on sales reporting and insights.
The ideal candidate would have direct experience building complex data models within Tableau Prep, Desktop and producing relevant dashboards.
While focused on sales primarily this role will also support the entire analytics team.
To succeed in this role a candidate should be highly versatile, curious, and experienced with using data analysis tools to answer business questions.
Duties And Responsibilities Translate business requirements into data models, dashboards, and diagnostic tools for leadership consumption Create data models that join disparate data sources for relevant KPIs and dashboards Support the larger business analytics team from a technical development spanning sales, purchasing, inventory, pricing, and marketing analytics Partner with business stakeholders to develop and implement relevant KPIs Build demand planning / predictive sales models using Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Apply various data analysis techniques such as regression, Monte Carlo simulation, factor, cohort, cluster, time series, and sentiment analysis to drive insights Act as a subject matter expert to help upskill existing workforce and expand data fluency Prepare monthly / quarterly data sets as needed to support external business reporting Participate in special projects as requested Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, business, finance, statistics, analytics, or related field Minimum 3 years of experience working in data science and / or analytics Strong analytical skillset and technical experience with Tableau mandatory Familiarity or direct experience with Alteryx, SQL, Python, or R preferred Hands on experience building and validating data models High degree of self-initiative and curiosity to answer leadership questions Ability to be a collaborative business partner and cultivate strong cross-functional relationships Experience within a commercial / retail (B2B or B2C) enterprise a plus Working conditions Minimal travel requirements as needed for business purposes Work assignments may be completed remotely and/or available company offices within respective markets Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and/or keyboard Heavy methods of verbal and auditory communication via phone, virtual calls, and/or email
