Analyst, Finance & Accounting

Our Finance & Department team is looking to bring in an Analyst to support in accounting and finance for a sizable commercial and developmental real estate portfolio.

A Day In The Life at Wonderful:

  • Work with the Real Estate Development team to help manage all financial aspects of various construction and development projects.
  • Perform analytical analysis of current projects and reconcile final costs for project yield analysis
  • Manage multiple construction projects and work with the Development team and Accounts Payable to ensure costs are coded to each project and activity appropriately.
  • Implement and administer procurement policies and procedures, including contract administration for various construction projects.
  • Responsible for providing ad hoc analyses to internal customers as well as to external customers (i.e. Vendors).
  • Lead and perform the Month-end close activities including but not limited to posting Journal entries, preparing account reconciliations and preparing and analyzing variance reports.
  • Prepare, review and analyze financial statements for individual reporting units.
  • Implement GAAP procedures and be able to provide supporting documentation (i.e. capitalization of developed assets).
  • Review and prepare asset & liability account reconciliations implement follow up action plans for resolution to reconciling items.
  • Review and prepare Intercompany reconciliations — prepare and analyze intercompany transactions and implement follow up action plans for resolution to reconciling items.
  • Review and prepare schedules required for monthly, quarterly and year-end internal and external audits.
  • Review, prepare and analyze accounting transactions, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and provide variance explanations.
  • Generate property budgets, including forecasting Tenant Revenue, Reimbursable and Non-Reimbursable Operating Costs, etc.
  • Develop and implement updated policies and procedures for general ledger tasks, accounting systems internal controls, and procurement policies and procedures with the Development team.
  • Develop action plans to achieve strategic objectives as agreed upon with finance management.
  • Assist with Cash Flow Analysis and Forecasts.
  • Special projects of a financial nature upon request.
  • Prepare Presentation materials for financial presentations upon request.
  • Develop process improvement action items and manage the implementation of updated procedures.
  • Perform Oracle Financials Super user tasks.

Your Contribution to Wonderful:

  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • CPA desired, or relevant finance and accounting experience.
  • Self-starter and able to drive projects with minimal supervision.
  • 1 to 4 years of experience in Accounting or Finance with sound knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), experience in construction field and/or a Big 4 Firm is a plus.
  • 1 to 4 years of experience with a large scale ERP system with a good understanding of the data integration from each module.
  • Experience with audit internal and external auditors is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good understanding of internal controls.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment which requires multi-tasking and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working with multiple reporting units and lines of business required.
  • Must possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Must possess a personal sense of urgency and superior teamwork skills.
