POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Manager, Accounting and Reporting.
You will be joining an early-stage biotechnology company working in an exciting new area of cancer immunotherapy and have the opportunity to work closely with leadership team.
You will be responsible for the overall accounting and reporting activities of the Company and help support the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
We are seeking an efficient, energetic and organized person who is hands-on, detail oriented and excels at operating in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
This team member will be a key contributor to establishing an environment and company culture that supports discovery, collegiality, and hard work.
Responsibilities (including but not limited)
Manage the financial and reporting process (monthly/quarterly/annual).
Responsible for completing day to day accounting activities as well as monthly/quarterly/annual close processes, including preparing and posting journal entries, preparing balance sheet and cash flow reconciliations, in an accurate and timely manner under US GAAP
Calculate accurate expenses recognition for financial close, including R&D and clinical trial accruals
Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding costs and activities incurred on various contracts, track and prepare ad hoc analysis on them as requested
Support budgeting process, including budget to actual analysis
Support cash management and treasury functions
Assist with the consistent application of internal control policies and ensure compliance with established procedures
Assist and coordinate with external auditors regarding quarterly and annual reviews and audits (as applicable)
Responsible for payables operations and activities
Develop and maintain working relationships across Company’s Research, Development and Technical Operations teams
Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications
BA in Accounting or related field required.
CPA required
4+ years of experience in similar role in biotechnology industry (public biotech company experience strongly preferred)
Public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred)
Robust understanding of financial statement preparation and quarterly/annual close process
Strong knowledge of US GAAP including accrual-based accounting (preferably at a public biotech company)
Ability to work independently with general direction and guidance
Ability prioritize and multitask in an ever-changing environment
Demonstrated success initiating and leading cross-functional projects to successful completion
Significant attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills

Pay: $64,014.00
– $140,332.00 per year
