Job Description: Los Angeles preferred but this role is eligible for U.S. remote candidates As Veo’s Accounting Manager, you will drive the month-end financial close, balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and reporting packages. In addition, you will lead process improvement efforts towards automation, shortening close time, and implementing other efficiencies to support Veo’s growth. The role would be an important member of the Finance team and will report directly to the Finance Controller. What you’ll do: Drive continuous improvement in processes to increase efficiency while maintaining and improving internal controls Take ownership of the monthly financial close by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and reporting schedules, as well as supporting FP&A with performing variance analyses Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to obtain relevant contextual information Drive the implementation of accounting policies and procedures and adhering to controls to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for in accordance with GAAP principles Support leadership with various ad-hoc requests and analysis and assist with management reporting Assist with preparation of consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures including supporting documentation Support cross functional company initiatives Grow and lead the accounting team through mentoring and developing junior team members Who you are: 7 years of accounting operations experience CPA preferred Strong Accounting knowledge with an understanding of US GAAP Exceptional analytical and Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Vlookups, etc. Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills, and superior attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment Strong knowledge of Quickbooks, Netsuite, Expensify and Bill.com (or comparable systems) preferred Perks: Unlimited PTO Medical, dental, vision coverage 401k Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, hyper-growth technology company Veo credits Commitment to professional development and career growth Opportunity to work on one of the world’s most challenging problems
