Accounting Manager

As the Accounting Manager, you will support the Accounting team and being responsible for the month-close process.

Your Team
You will report to the Director of FP&A for Consumer Audio Americas and have 3 direct reports.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinates and leads the monthly financial close for the Consumer North America business, in compliance with all internal policy and audit requirements. Reviews reconciliations and manual journal entries prepared by the team. Areas of focus include cost of goods, inventory, warehouse and freight expenses, warranty costs, intercompany accounts and other related accounting areas.
  • Prepares budgets and forecasts, including the analysis of variations vs. actual results. Identifies areas of risk and opportunity, including cost savings and process improvement opportunities, in partnership with the Supply Chain and Sales teams.
  • Supports internal and corporate reporting activities and provides approval for new vendors, PO’s and special projects.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/Accounting
  •  Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
  • +7 years related experience to include preparing financial statements, leading month-close processes and supporting audit.
  • Advanced SAP, Excel and Power Point skills

What is Nice to Have

  • CPA or Chartered Accountant designation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills. Business proficiency in English.
  • Ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously and apply problem solving skills
  • Ability to plan and organize
