Accounting Manager

GOAT Group is a fast-paced company seeking an experienced, highly detailed Accounting Manager with excellent communication and strong analytical skills to work closely with the Accounting team on all strategic and day-to-day accounting processes for GOAT Group.

The Accounting Manager Accountant is responsible for a multitude of accounting duties including upkeep of the general ledger, reconciliations and support of budget and forecast activities.

In this role you will:
Shared ownership of the full cycle general ledger financial close process and related activities to ensure complete and accurate financials in accordance with U.S.

GAAP, including managing/reviewing close activities such as journal entries and account reconciliations within the established close timeline Assist in managing the preparation of monthly financial reporting for management and U.S.

GAAP presentation, including tie-outs to underlying detail Execution of non-routine transactions, including but not limited to: application of accounting guidance, preparation of work papers and journal entries, and walkthroughs with relevant stakeholders Oversee other areas as identified by management, gather financial data to support footnote disclosures and ensure SOX compliance in areas of responsibility Manage Staff Accountant and contribute to their growth and development Assist with the annual audit process, including both the readiness, the execution, and the preparation of supporting schedules Drive process improvement and automation efforts to streamline Accounting operations and improve the quality of monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, and internal controls Make key decisions on continuous development of accounting policies and standard operating procedures Partner closely with FP&A around monthly variance analysis, management reporting, and GAAP reporting Oversee several non-revenue GL functions
We are looking for:
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred 6 years minimum related experience; A mix of public and private accounting is a plus Strong knowledge of US GAAP including experience in the preparation of financial statements  Exposure to Netsuite or other large ERPs Ability to execute, follow-up, and ensure attention to detail Commitment to process improvement and the ability to think “outside the box” Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must show accountability, be a team player and operate with a sense of urgency Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Word) is required Experience in a high growth, fast­-paced start­up environment is highly preferred with expert ability to switch between competing initiatives as needed High degree of dedication to improvement and strong sense of ownership GOAT is the global platform for the greatest products from the past, present and future.
