This is an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to work in the investment management business within a rapidly growing and fast paced environment that provides opportunity for growth.
Immediate specific duties include performing daily cash and transaction processing for investment portfolios, identify variances while performing root-cause analysis related to variances and communicate necessary data changes to the Investment Operations Team.
Specific responsibilities are likely to expand significantly over time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
o Perform daily holding reconciliations between investment accounting subledgers to custodian records for investment portfolios.
o Ensure accurate, efficient, and effective processing in accordance to control process.
o Process manual transactions related to less liquid asset classes such as: Alternatives, Bank Loans, Private Placements, etc…
o Support daily reconciliation process.
o Perform compliance reporting as required.
o Work with other groups to obtain investment related information
Job Requirements
o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
o 2-3 years’ experience in an audit and/or fund/investment accounting function, Big 4 preferred
o Demonstrated process orientation and problem-solving skills.
o A strong detailed orientation.
o Ability to work effectively on cross functional teams/projects.
o Knowledge of Fixed Income, Structured Products, Derivatives, Mortgage Loans and/or Alternative Investments is a plus.
