Compensation: $18.00 to $22.00 hourly

Robert Half is hiring candidates for an exciting entry-level Accountant opportunity, with a highly successful organization. If you are able to review financial statements with a heavy data entry component, you might be right for this position. If you’re an Excel enthusiast, you might be a good fit for this entry-level position. We’re looking for people who are interested in spreadsheet creation and manipulation. This short-term contract / temporary entry-level Accountant position is located in Los Angeles, California.
Your responsibilities
– Executing other related duties and partaking in special projects as assigned
– Perform data entry
– Assisting with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
– Assisting with audit fieldwork for both financial and operational audits
– Make monthly journal entries
– Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts
– Investigating and correcting account discrepancies
Job Requirements:
– At minimum, 1 year of relevant accounting experience
– Applicants are recommended to hold an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
– Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
– Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
– Excellent oral and written communication skills
– Foundational knowledge in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
– Command of Accounts Payable (AP)
– Strong familiarity with account reconciliation
– Microsoft Excel experience
– High attention to detail
