Compensation: $19.95 to $23.10 hourly
To be successful at this Accountant position, you should be someone who creates spreadsheets in your sleep, be looking to find your place in the accounting field. Robert Half is hiring candidates for an exciting entry-level Accountant opportunity, with a highly successful organization in the Investment Management/Companies industry. To succeed in this position, you should be able to review financial statements with a heavy data entry component. If you’re an Excel enthusiast, you might be a good fit for this entry-level position. We’re looking for people who are interested in spreadsheet creation and manipulation. For this short-term contract / temporary to hire position, you should be willing to work in Los Angeles, California.
Responsibilities
– Aiding in full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
– Preparing monthly journal entries
– Performing other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned
– Assisting with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audit
– Ensuring that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct
– Input data
– Researching and correcting account discrepancies
Job Requirements:
– Suggested education is an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
– 2+ years of relevant accounting experience at minimum
– Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
– Batching experience
– Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
– Microsoft Excel experience preferred
– Strong attention to detail
– Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
– Outstanding data entry skills
– Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
