Assets under management is currently $5 billion and growing at over $500 million, annually.A-CAP’s offices are located in New York, Charleston, Salt Lake City and Omaha.Compensation:Dependent upon experienceLocation: Manhattan, NY or Pleasantville, NYSummary:This position is responsible for assisting with the wire transfers related to the investment operations of Atlantic Coast Life Insurance Company and its subsidiary Southern Atlantic Re, Sentinel Security Life Insurance Company and its affiliate Jazz Re, and Haymarket Insurance Company.This position will also be responsible for other accounting functions as necessary, including but not limited to, reconciling our monthly derivative positions and downloading monthly investment reports.Essential Functions:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
·Prepare monthly wire sheets for all reinsurance settlement and pre-settlement wires and have them approved
·Prepare reinsurance settlement and pre-settlement wires and coordinate with asset managers and reinsurers to ensure adequate funds are available
·Update settlement workbooks for wires sent
·Prepare derivative wires
·Prepare all other wires to support the reinsurers and others as needs
·Provide Fed References for wires as requested
·Prepare journal entries for all wires
·Respond to requests from reinsurers and others regarding wires
·Other projects, as requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
·Computer knowledge including, but not limited to, MS office products.
·Strong math skills.
·Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay attention to details.
·Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality with all information received.
·Ability to work independently to carry out assignments.Education, Training and Experience:
·Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
·One-Two plus years of experience in insurance accounting and reporting a strong plus
