Overview

The Sports Medicine Program Manager position reports directly to the Administrative Director of Orthopeadics and is accountable to the Sports Medicine Medical Director, Surgical Director, and Faculty.

The Sports Medicine Program Manager supervises the ATC clinical extender team and partners with sports medicine care teams to improve access, efficiency, quality, and patient satisfaction.

This position supports the operations of existing programs including physician specialty practices and sports motion lab; assists in the creation and management of new product lines such as telemedicine and school health; leads community outreach efforts which include fostering relationships with schools, leagues, professional organizations and networks; and coordinates ATC game coverage, PPEs, Concussion Baseline Testing, promotional events, and academic conferences.

This position serves as a key member of the CHLA Sports Medicine Leadership Team.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

• 5+ years of Athletic Trainer, Certified experience.

Administrative/Business/Outreach experience highly preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) from accredited institution. Must be Athletic Trainer Certified by the BOC. 

• Completion of physician extender residency preferred.

Orthopedic technologist – certified preferred. Masters degree in related field preferred.

• Completion of physician extender residency preferred.

• Orthopedic Technologist – certified preferred.

• Certification: Must be Certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC); certified in first aid; CPR professional rescuer certification; NPI Number required.
