We are currently seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing.
This position will direct the Sales, Marketing and Revenue teams to achieve overall hotel revenue goals by developing and implementing strategies and tactics to increase hotel awareness and Sales.
Responsibilities
-Lead the development and implementation of Sales and Marketing strategies for the hotel which are aligned with Hotel Angeleno’s overall mission, vision values and strategies.
-Participates in the development of the hotel’s business strategies
-Develops and implements sales strategies that support achievement of the hotel’s goals
-Monitors status regularly and adjusts strategies as appropriate
-Develops the annual budget in conjunction with the Advisory Committee
-Continually improves hotel sales and adheres to Hotel Angeleno standards
-Achieves market share and revenue goals by directing the group and transient sales
-Analyzes sales to determine profitability of sold business and opportunities within the market
-Develops sales strategies designed to maximize revenue and yield.
Participates in the development of yield management strategies for the hotel
-Maximizes revenue with revenue optimization tools to market the hotel appropriately and ensure current rate structures are reflected in the database
-Maximizes productivity by coaching sales team on sales techniques and ensuring that booked business is aligned with the hotel’s revenue management strategies
-Qualifies prospective leads
-Designs and proposes programs which meet the clients’ needs
-Approves function space allocation for group and catering bookings
-Develops and implements annual sales goals for sales team which are aligned with the hotel’s overall revenue goals
-Monitors call productivity and revenue goals for each team member by tracking results
-Coordinates sales efforts for catering and rooms sales
-Negotiates and closes contracts with key customers
-Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement
-Recruits and selects qualified candidates
-Provides employees with the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities
-Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback
-Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential
-Drives employee engagement through the creation and implementation of departmental action plans
-Develop Marketing initiatives to promote sales and support brand awareness
-Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Hotel Angeleno experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality, exceeding guest expectations.
Provides employees with the training and resources they need to maximize employee engagement and deliver excellent service and teamwork
-Communicates and reinforces the vision for ” We Are Not Square ” service to employees
-Provides genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
-Seeks opportunities to improve the customer experience by seeking customer feedback and reviewing management reports and developing strategies to improve department and hotel services
