We are seeking a Spatial (Visium and in situ) Market Development & Customer Engagement Manager to ensure pre-sales success, close customer engagement prior to product launch, and identify key collaborations to prioritize global support.

This position will be responsible for strategic account mapping, identifying key sites for engagement, educating customers on how to use our spatial tools and associated use cases, and scaling internal messages to scientific technology advisors.

Information that is gathered will be fed back into the global team for consolidation.

This role will require interfacing with multiple product managers within the spatial high resolution product portfolio and marketing program management, sales and field based teams.

They will be responsible for driving the education and adoption of our technologies by understanding the various market segments, customers, and positioning associated amongst the entire spatial high resolution portfolio.

This role is an in-region individual contributor role that has the potential to manage people over time if impact is demonstrated.

This role will require significant travel within the region and a minimum of once per quarter to HQ.
What You Will Be Doing
Drive a high level of engagement with science and technology advisors, sales executives and regional marketing within the region while simultaneously being closely linked to the product development process, product managers and applications groups.

Responsible for competitive positioning and messaging to achieve market share objectives within relevant profitability bounds for 10x’s spatial high resolution portfolio Utilizes key information and portfolio positioning of in-production products to seed the market with useful information and feedback this as voice-of-customer to global Tests messaging and positioning of the Visium and in situ platforms in real-time to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the portfolio Ensures market information is acquired, competitive activity is monitored, and customer needs are identified.

Closely works with global market segment managers to understand what research areas and applications are most relevant to the goals of the company and tailor the content for specific customers Partners closely with spatial product management teams to gain an understanding of product features and relevance to market segments Creates sales enablement tools, webinars, support content and other relevant content in close collaboration with product management
To Be Successful In This Role, You Must Have
BA/BS or MS or equivalent degree in Life Sciences.

A minimum 5 years of Product Marketing, regional marketing, market development or customer applications experience required.

Must have demonstrated successful customer relationship management Experience in the NGS life sciences industry preferred.

Experience with tissue-based assays (e.g., spatial gene expression, in situ hybridization) or NGS-based assays preferred.

Market development and marketing communications experience highly desired.

Must be able to build credibility and relationships across functions and levels Ability to travel up to 60% within region Ability to highly effectively communicate and influence internal and external audiences, using both oral and written communication skills High level of organization, multi-tasking, and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Have Skills & Background
PhD is desired Experience in the NGS life sciences industry preferred Market development and marketing communications experience highly desired
