Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Supplier Quality Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Candidate must be located in or within driving distance to Los Angeles County, CA. Responsibilities include: Managing a team of approximately 20 field engineers that are remotely located by ensuring the team is engaged and processes are calibrated across the team in order to manage the supply base efficiently and effectively Developing and implementing supplier quality evaluation and control systems Assuring supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance. Oversees the conducting of product and process verification activities, monitors supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues. Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically reviews supplier performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list. Keeps management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks. Develops plans to respond to risks and issues in the supply chain. Coordinates and oversees Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases. Representing Supplier Quality in front of Program, Global Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance directors and vice presidents and supplier executive leadership teams Collaborate with Supplier Quality program counterparts to ensure adequate proposals and bids are submitted including appropriate staffing levels required to support program statement of work and available budget Establishes and implements innovative strategies and tactics to drive predictability and affordability across the supply base Interacts closely with Global Supply Chain personnel on a daily basis to coordinate on time delivery and 1st time quality products Interacts with DCMA, NAVAIR, AFRL and internal Quality customers to ensure collaborative management of the supplier issues and risks As a leader, you always act with integrity, and the highest ethical standards characterize everything you do. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
