Job purpose

To advise local and global customers on the use of Vitsœ’s furniture, helping them to plan and install solutions for their needs while convincing them of the long-term benefits of buying less that is of a better quality.

Not only should customers be delighted by being able to bring some order to their lives but, ideally, they should become ambassadors for Vitsœ, spreading the word.

Key areas of responsibility:

• reaching out to end-users, private customers, architecture and interior-design professionals, to dramatically increase their awareness of Vitsœ

• responding to local and global customer planning requests

• assisting in the day-to-day running of the shop

• creating drawings with Vitsœ’s bespoke software according to brief

• visiting customers’ homes or offices to evaluate wall/floor/ceiling types, access suitability of planned furniture for intended use and environment

• liaising with the assembly team to confirm installation/delivery/collection dates

• working to achieve the highest possible conversion from inquiry to customer

• installing all furniture systems as per training, efficiently and on-time The role requires:

• punctuality, patience and an ability to translate customers’ needs efficiently

• absolute precision in technical planning

• availability for Saturday-working

• a natural three-dimensional understanding: Lego or similar might have been your interest

• the use of power hand tools in a safe manner

• behaviour (on-site, off-site and in vans) which respects that installers are the public face of a company that values professionalism

• a clean driving licence and the ability to drive long distances

• fluency in English, second language in Spanish a plus

The person will be:

• careful and diligent – even meticulous – with a good dose of common sense

• demanding of high standards and at ease with demanding people

• efficient, effective and organised, in both the physical and digital worlds

• modestly confident and also personable, good humoured and trustworthy

• at home in the worlds of art, architecture, craft and design
