– COVID 19 Response (Contract) Organizational Description Founded in 2004, Brilliant Corners provides innovative housing and housing-related services to those transitioning from or at risk of homelessness or institutionalization.
We develop, own, and manage multi-family supportive housing and licensed residential care homes.
Additionally, we implement a broad array of scattered-site, one-on-one supportive housing, and clinical case management programs through partnerships with developmental services, homeless services, veteran services, and health care sectors.

Brilliant Corners – DHS Partnership As part of our role as a fiscal intermediary for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS), Brilliant Corners nimbly sets up and manages several dozen contracts for goods and services to be deployed in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
This work includes over $20 million of funding from philanthropic partners, a managed-care organization, and multiple levels of government, including federal CARES Act funding.
Brilliant Corners and DHS are engaged in multiple COVID-19 response efforts, including outreach, testing, and vaccinations.
COVID-19 Response for People Experiencing Homelessness in LA County Los Angeles County is home to over 65,000 people experiencing homelessness (PEH).
Approximately 12,000 PEH live in 300+ interim housing (sheltered) settings across the county and another 48,000 live in unsheltered settings.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, California Department of Public Health, and LA County Department of Health Services (DHS) have prioritized vaccination in PEH living in shelters and crowded encampments.
DHS Housing for Health has created multidisciplinary COVID Response Teams (CRTs) to engage a diverse group of community stakeholders, PEH, and homeless service agency workforce members to organize, engage, and coordinate opportunities for people experiencing homelessness to be offered pathways to testing and vaccination within in an equitable framework.
Please note that these are contracted hourly full-time positions through a fiscal intermediary and are not an indicator of future employment and other benefits with LA County.
Due to the dynamic and fluctuating nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, these contracted positions have an open-ended termination date within the 2021 calendar year.
The Assistant Data Analyst works within the HFH Policy & Procurement data team and supports the COVID Response through the creation of data-based analysis, reports, and maintenance of tools.
The Assistant Data Analyst will provide general analytical support and should understand key processes and relationships within the HFH portfolio.
They will work in a collaborative role with other HFH contractors to understand and represent important pieces of data to respond to the needs of the Vaccination Program in rapidly changing environments.
They are highly organized and can manage multiple overlapping timelines.
The Assistant Data Analyst will be supervised by the HFH Policy & Procurement data team.
This is primarily a telework position.
Essential Functions: Reporting and Analysis * Provides regular reporting within specified deadlines* Manages the development, implementation and maintenance of reports, dashboards and analysis tools* Regularly performs special projects and assignments, such as ad-hoc department reporting and program analyses* Rigorously documents processes and procedures used for all reporting and analyses Tool Development and Maintenance * Helps refine program management practices through the creation of new reporting and analytical tools* Helps to design, build and maintain analytical support tools to be used within the Department of Health Services, by housing and service providers, and by other external stakeholders Project Management: * Convenes and facilitates discussions with stakeholders to design and implement tools and reports* Manages the design, development, implementation and maintenance of reports, dashboards and analysis tools Program and Provider Support * Provides regular analyses of the impact of changes in management practices and policies* Designs program reports, analyzes performance, and provides resulting analyses to stakeholders JOB QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate has experience working with a client-centric relational database and has taken the lead on projects where the best path forward is unclear.
Education/Experience A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Social Work, Community Development, Criminal Justice or a related field

– One (1) year working in a program that provides housing and support services to clients who are homeless or are at risk for homelessness;
– OR
– (B) One (1) year analyzing and making recommendations that address organizational management issues such as planning, program development, project management, budget development, and program evaluation of health and human services for high-risk populations (e.g.
homeless, justice-involved, mentally ill, substance use disorder or medically complex).
Certificates/Licenses/Clearances * A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.* Successful clearing through the Live Scan process with the County of Los Angeles.
