This is a 12-month contract opportunity based out of Los Angeles, CA.This role is a combination of the Graphic Production Artist “production” role and the creative design skillset and experience of the Sr.
Graphic Designer role.Qualifications:+ Requires 10+ years of design experience working in a creative, corporate environment.+ Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of graphic design concepts and the ability to apply them to work assignments.+ Finance industry background strongly preferred, or in a technical industry such as technology or healthcare.+ Creates and updates presentations, primarily institutional pitch books, based on established brand guidelines and or templates.+ Demonstrates a high level of working knowledge of financial concepts and how to visualize them for the institutional buyer.+ Can read and understand data concepts in Excel and translate them into charts and visual design without guidance.+ Demonstrates a high level of proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 (advanced), Microsoft Excel (intermediate; primarily charting), InDesign (CS 5.5) (advanced), and Illustrator (intermediate; charting, infographics, and icons).+ Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in understanding narrative flow to be able to organize and design clear and easy-to-follow presentations.+ Applies to an understanding of business goals to designs.+ Reviews statistical information and content to determine how to visually portray data that support key concepts and enhances the reader’s understanding.+ Demonstrates the ability to organize and design clear and easy to follow presentations
– Updates existing materials and presentations with new content and data
– Researches and selects appropriate stock photography; retouches photos as needed
– Designs and modifies icons to support content and infographics.+ Updates data, formatting, layout, design, and content for print, PDF, and presentation materials based on established templates in PowerPoint using the Seismic platform.+ Demonstrates strong detail orientation, process orientation, organizational, and multi-tasking skills; ability to effectively manage an unpredictable workload and meet established deadlines.+ Demonstrates proficiency in the ability to work within established brand guidelines.+ Demonstrates ability to collaborate with diverse working styles and with team members across business units; an initiative to work and learn independently; proactively contribute to department goals and ability to lead others while maintaining effective business relationships with associates throughout the organization.About the ClientOur client is an American financial services company.
