Systems Engineer – Installation

What You’ll Do: The ‘Systems Engineer
– Installation’ on the Systems Engineering team will be responsible for both managing vendors and integrator teams to ensure projects stay within scope and schedule as well as interfacing with customers to manage expectations and adhere to company commitments.

They will serve a project management function by maintaining task lists as well as an engineering function by serving as a process expert who is able to field both equipment and construction related questions.

During the course of their work, it is expected that this engineer will also keep a keen eye on any inefficiencies related to the installation process and make suggestions on means of improvements.

Vendor Management: Participate in initial equipment conceptual development and balance product specifications, process requirements, layout complexity, cost, and lead-time limits.

Assist in the creation of equipment specification documents and their release to multiple Vendors for quoting Customer Location Installations: Ensure delivery of project scope on time while meeting or exceeding quality standards and stakeholder expectations.

Manage equipment installation from uncrating to SAT Other Duties: Comply with the company safety procedures.

Live the company culture of integrity and professional competence.

Maintain records pertinent to each project in the form of time, sketches, drawings specifications, bill of material, etc.

Utilize installation and operations manuals to ensure equipment follows “copy exact” philosophy throughout multiple installations no matter the location Write user manuals to communicate the functionality of company developed programs Who You Are: 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Bachelor’s degree in related engineering field Previous experience in a construction environment Previous experience in a project management role Organizational skills to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously, without losing sight of key goals Familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) Familiar with robotic motion (Fanuc, ABB) Pneumatic/Hydraulic equipment experience What We Offer: Flexible Time Off The opportunity to work with an incredibly supportive team of thinkers and innovators Sponsorship: Not available for this position Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
