The Senior Cloud Systems Engineer is responsible for planning, deploying and maintaining enterprise level Cloud infrastructure solutions based on Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS platforms. It includes installing, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining and supporting both virtualized as well as hardware infrastructure resources across the enterprise. This person works closely with other members of the Business Solutions team and external providers of data services to resolve issues expeditiously. This role is preferably based the Los Angeles office, although, Newport Beach, Boston and New York offices will be considered depending on candidate’s preference.

This position will report to the Senior Vice President, Business Solutions.

What You Will Do:

  • Configure and administer IaaS/PaaS and On-prem enterprise solutions, including networking and connectivity resources
  • Manage and monitor the server environment, respond to incidents and lead technical teams in investigating root causes and determining best course for resolution
  • Design, review and implement security controls and processes that are consistent with corporate policies and industry best practices
  • Participate in supporting the operational readiness of LOB systems such as Geneva, Charles River, Salesforce and Microsoft 365
  • Automate manual processes through the use of standard tools and scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python
  • Monitor health of technology services by evaluating delivery mechanisms and making recommendations as appropriate
  • Perform troubleshooting of network incidents, determines and documents root cause
  • Contribute to analysis requirements for technical solutions, emphasizing performance, availability, scalability & security
  • Develop documentation and procedures necessary to provision and manage performance and operational capacity
  • Monitor desktop support queues, performs troubleshooting and resolution tasks of user issues and system events

What You Will Need:

  • In-depth understanding of cloud data center network architectures, i.e., Azure & AWS
  • Experience with Microsoft Networking Technologies, Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP & Windows Servers
  • Experience designing and deploying LAN / WAN / WLAN infrastructures
  • Knowledgeable in TCP / IP & MS Networking protocols and the Windows Server OS
  • Experience with MPLS, SD-WAN, IP routing, switching and firewall technologies
  • Experience with VMWare and virtualization technologies
  • Experience with VOIP-based voice network protocols
  • Experience with portfolio accounting systems and/or trade order management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to multi-task; self-motivated and team oriented professional
  • Aptitude to learn new systems and software
  • Strong communication skills and proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications)
